Dip de la taco (taco dip)

2 16oz containers sour cream

2 packages taco seasoning

1 medium white onion, chopped fine

1 15oz jar Tostitos medium salsa

6 green onions, chopped

2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese

Red pepper flakes

Dried cilantro


Stir taco seasoning into sour cream

Add chopped white onion, blend well

Spread evenly in 9 X 13 pan

Shake cilantro and red pepper, to taste, over entire dish

Layer salsa over entire dish and spread evenly

Sprinkle chopped green onions over salsa

Cover all with shredded cheese

Sprinkle more cilantro and red pepper flakes over cheese if desired.


Healthy version idea: This could be modified by substituting plain Greek yogurt for the sour cream.
